RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAVELING TO MOROCCO
To enter Morocco, it is necessary to have a valid passport that does not expire until at least six months after the expected date of return from the trip.
It is also necessary to check if your passport nationality requires a visa or not. If necessary, we will explain how to easily obtain the visa.
- The airports and ports in Morocco are relatively small and manageable.
- The official languages are Arabic and French; however, many speak English and/or Spanish. Communication is generally not a problem.
- The hospitality of the Moroccan population is one of its great advantages.
- Morocco is safer than some descriptions suggest. Although it is a safe country, it is wise to maintain the usual precautions on any trip.
- It is important to respect the culture of bargaining, as it is a common practice for them. If interested, you can participate in bargaining; if not, just politely and firmly decline.
- Outside the cities, it may be more difficult to make payments with a card, and even within some large cities, some businesses do not accept credit cards. Dirhams and euros are accepted. Your guide will direct you to currency exchange places with fairer rates.
- Upon your arrival, your guide will be your assistant. Do not hesitate to ask any questions or request help. They are locals and are there to support you.
- It is important not to delay your exit from the plane after landing, as if two or three planes coincide at customs, it could take more than an hour to get through. The guides are aware of this situation and will wait for you until you come out, regardless of how long it takes. You will see people running off the plane to be the first in line at customs to avoid long waits. We don’t suggest you run :-D, but we do recommend you try to leave promptly.
- Several controls will be carried out.
- Do not put away your passport or ticket until you are seated on the plane.
- Have ready, printed or on your mobile phone, the accommodation where you will be staying the first night; you will be asked at customs.
- If asked the reason for your visit to Morocco, the answer is tourism.
Shade at noon and a sweatshirt in the afternoon except for the months of June, July, and August which are summer and hot.
In the High Atlas and the desert, nights can be cool. It is recommended to bring a windbreaker jacket; for midday, shorts and a short-sleeved shirt are suitable.
RespectWe ask for respect for our customs.
